Steven the Dock Master was amazing. He's very knowledgeable and even washed the water marks and filled our fenders when we got fuel. Passed out leaflets with all kind of info. When we tied up on the fixed doc he was super helpful making sure we could set up our ramp to get our golden off the boat and took extra time setting up all the lines and fenders. And cracking jokes the whole time.

Tips for an Eco-Friendly California Road Trip
Wakes from passing boats were not bad even on a weekend. A little noisier than most places due to the bridge traffic and the restaurant but not bad. Good and pleasant dock help (Olivia). A 2-3 knot current with an easy approach.

Overall a nice one night stop. Be prepared and time your canal transit and docking based on tides. Check AIS for commercial traffic before departing the dock. There aren't any showers, but I didn't find that to be an issue. The marina has floating docks and a fixed pier on site, however customers needing power are placed on the fixed pier, as the floating docks do not have power. If a floating dock is preferred, the marina will accommodate.
Porto Leone, as it was known for centuries, is well worth at least a day during your stay in Athens. Hop on Hop off buses as well as a tourist train depart from here. The square and its surroundings come to life in the evening, with numerous bars and restaurants offering a lively atmosphere for both locals and tourists. The new cruise terminal project is related to Pier 3 (port's southern zone). The works must be completed in 34 months (scheduled inauguration in December 2022).

I think you must have been lured by a low base price and as a result, your expectations were set too high. Once upon a time, cruising was an “ all included” vacation, or almost so. Advertised prices are base, lowest cost inside cabins per person. It doesn’t seem like much until you multiply by the number of passengers and add drinks, specialty dining, excursions and more. There is still a lot included in the price and many cruisers don’t spend much more than that, if at all. It’s up to you whether you want to buy alcoholic beverages or take excursions.

We are on this cruise as well...we're doing the Princess transfer from Victoria Coach Station. Cleaning twicr a day of the cabin, Yes just let your cabin steward know you would like both. I have been thinking about Sky Princess' Norway and Iceland cruise in the summer. The last time I cruised on Princess was 1992 on Star Princess in the Black Sea. There is an energy lacking aboard despite the new very active, less elegant, piazza. I prefer smaller older royal ships and NCL breakaway class.
I rarely take a ship excursion, as I prefer to do things on my own. I eat most of my meals in the main dining room. I never buy anything from the gift shops. With that said, there is no way for you to avoid adding some expense to this trip.
Just say “no” to expensive alcohol packages, onboard sales, spa treatments, and bingo. I think based on your post, you should cancel and find another vacation. Crown Princess generally skews toward a slightly older crowd, with several couples and groups traveling together and young families in the minority, while still attracting a variety of ages and nationalities. To serve the multinational passengers onboard, you'll find several tour options available in languages such as Japanese and Spanish. Southampton to London you can either take the Princess Cruises bus transfer, or you could take the train which would be the cheapest route versus like getting a cab.
Spend what you want to spend and no more and if that doesn't make cruising really attractive to you then best not to cruise IMO. IMHO cruises are exceptional value for money compared with land based holidays. One of busiest and closest to casino so not a good idea, but I feel like a lot of bad decisions have been made on this ship. Some things can be easily changed and others not so much.

Crown Princess deck plans include six room-only decks (Emerald, Dolphin, Caribe, Baja, Aloha and Riviera), four of which are sandwiched between other room-only decks, allowing for quiet nights in a large percentage of the cabins. Additionally, two other decks (Plaza and Lido) offer a mix of public spaces and cabins, but even then, guest staterooms are all located within their own section, which effectively blocks off the noise in most of them.

The Novator Kalibr (Калибр, caliber), also referred to as 3M54-1 Kalibr, 3M14 Biryuza (Бирюза, turquoise), (NATO reporting name SS-N-27 Sizzler and SS-N-30A) is a family of Russian cruise missiles developed by NPO Novator (OKB-8). There are ship-launched, submarine-launched and air-launched versions of the missile, and variants for anti-ship, anti-submarine and land attack use.
